Offering
I offer a 55-minute individualized Pilates session tailored to meet your unique needs and goals—whether practiced from a chair or on a mat. These sessions are conducted via Zoom and are designed to support your healing and recovery journey, with a focus on pain management, range of motion, daily living skills, and lymphedema care.
I offer my experience as both an occupational therapist and Pilates instructor. I find that Pilates is a wonderful healing modality that can be easily modified for both chair and mat. I will meet you where you are at. Let’s bring on joy together!
How Pilates Supports Healing:
- Low-Impact, Adaptable Movement: Gentle exercises focused on core strength, flexibility, and breathwork to improve resilience and restore physical well-being.
- Enhanced Recovery After Treatment: Alleviates discomfort and muscle imbalances resulting from surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation.
- Improved Mood and Energy: Reduces fatigue and promotes better body awareness and emotional balance.
- Lymphedema Support: Safe, effective movements to encourage lymphatic flow, reduce swelling, and support circulation.
- Chair Modifications Available: Exercises can be adapted for limited mobility to build upper body strength and support independence.
Prior to our first session, you will complete a detailed assessment and obtain medical clearance. We will also have an introductory conversation to discuss your goals and ensure your session is personalized and supportive.
Together, we will create a safe and empowering space to reconnect with your body and use movement as a healing tool.
