Offering

55-Minute Session of Neuro-Informed EMDR Therapy for Trauma
A cancer diagnosis and its treatment are not only medical experiences, they are deeply personal, body-based experiences that can leave lasting imprints on the nervous system. This ongoing psychotherapy offering provides supportive, trauma-informed care for individuals navigating the emotional and physiological impact of cancer, treatment, caregiving, grief, and survivorship.

Using EMDR-informed and neuro-informed approaches, sessions are designed to help individuals process distressing experiences, regulate the nervous system, and move beyond survival mode. Many people find themselves stuck in patterns of hypervigilance, anxiety, emotional numbness, intrusive thoughts, fear of recurrence, difficulty trusting their bodies, or replaying difficult moments long after treatment has ended. Therapy provides a safe, compassionate space to begin healing these patterns.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is one of the most research-supported approaches for trauma healing. Rather than requiring individuals to relive painful experiences repeatedly, EMDR works with the mind and body’s natural healing processes to help reduce the emotional and physical intensity connected to distressing memories.

What This Supports

  • Trauma Processing: Supports healing from difficult medical and life experiences
  • Nervous System Regulation: Helps reduce chronic stress and hypervigilance
  • Anxiety & Emotional Overwhelm: Builds tools for grounding and emotional balance
  • Fear of Recurrence & Medical Trauma: Supports greater safety and trust within the body
  • Depression & Emotional Numbness: Encourages reconnection, presence, and resilience
  • Intrusive Thoughts & Triggers: Helps reduce the emotional charge of distressing memories

Approach

  • EMDR-Informed Psychotherapy: Evidence-based trauma treatment tailored to your needs
  • Neuro-Informed Care: Integrates understanding of how trauma impacts the nervous system
  • Compassionate, Client-Centered Support: Sessions move at a pace that feels safe and supportive
  • Whole-Person Healing: Focuses on emotional, physical, and nervous system well-being

This work is not about erasing what you have been through. It is about helping your nervous system release the constant state of alarm so you can experience more ease, presence, connection, and healing in daily life.
