Andrea Deerheart, PhD, is the compassionate founder of The HeartWay, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to embracing life through honoring death. Her pioneering work draws on decades of wisdom gained from providing loving care and healing to those on the journey of conscious living and dying. Inspired by a friend's involvement with a hospice organization, Andrea began volunteering and discovered her life's calling. Her trailblazing work now focuses on teaching issues related to aging, radiant well-being, cultural mythology, death and dying, and living a more compassionate life. Additionally, she addresses grief, loss, and mindful, compassionate care. Andrea is the author of the recording "Yoga Nidra: Graceful Transitions" and offers the most comprehensive End-Of-Life Practitioner (ELP) certification program, recognized by the Board of Nursing and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

Offering

This restorative 60-minute session offers a deeply supportive meditation practice designed to bring peace, ease, and healing to anyone navigating the challenges of illness, grief, or life transitions.

Yoga Nidra, often referred to as “yogic sleep,” is a guided meditation that invites your body into profound rest while your mind remains gently aware. Practiced lying down and fully supported with props or pillows, it requires no physical movement—making it accessible to individuals experiencing fatigue, limited mobility, or physical discomfort. This powerful technique taps into the liminal space between wakefulness and sleep, where deep healing and transformation can unfold.

Whether you are undergoing cancer treatment, processing grief, managing chronic stress, or seeking emotional relief, this session provides a safe and nurturing space to simply rest and receive.

Key Benefits:

• Activates the parasympathetic nervous system to ease stress and anxiety.

• Improves sleep quality and reduces fatigue from treatment or emotional exhaustion.

• Supports emotional healing, helping reduce symptoms of depression or grief.

• Alleviates physical pain by calming the nervous system and enhancing body awareness.

• Cultivates inner peace, clarity, and spiritual connection.

Ideal for individuals experiencing:

• Cancer treatment, survivorship fatigue, or chronic illness.

• Emotional overwhelm, anxiety, or burnout—especially for caregivers.

• Grief and loss, including anticipatory or unresolved grief.

• A general sense of depletion or disconnection.

You will leave the session feeling lighter, more grounded, and deeply supported—often with a sense of clarity that stays with you well beyond the practice itself. Each session is personalized with compassion, intention, and care.

No prior experience with yoga or meditation is required. Just bring your body, your breath, and a willingness to pause. You are invited to come exactly as you are.
