Cancer Journey Institute Coaching: A Safe Space for Emotional Healing and Honest Conversations

Cancer journey coaching tackles the psycho-social and emotional impacts of a cancer diagnosis—those often-overlooked aspects of healing that live in the mind, heart, and soul. I have been dancing with cancer for many years—as a physician, as a patient, and as a caregiver. While every cancer journey is unique, certain themes tend to rise again and again. This work is about giving voice to those themes and creating room for you to meet them fully.

This offering includes a bundle of 6, 1-hour sessions, which provides enough time to work on a specific issue or explore more broadly. It is enough time to make an impact. In our sessions, we may address anything from the trauma of diagnosis to the frustration of managing well-meaning but overbearing family members. We co-create a safe, judgment-free space where we can explore both the mundane and the sacred—sometimes simultaneously. My role is to create a space where you can be your most authentic self so you can make choices that are in service of your highest good.

I offer a complimentary get-to-know-you call to ensure we are a good fit before beginning our work together. I support people in active treatment, caregiving for loved ones, those who have completed treatment, those living with metastatic disease, and those who are dying from metastatic disease. I also work with cancer care providers in medical settings who are navigating the emotional toll of their roles. This work is deeply personal and tailored to your unique experience.

I believe healing is available to anyone, at any time. Healing is possible even when health is no longer possible. Health is a state. Healing is a repair.

If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area, I offer in-person sessions on weekdays at my office in San Rafael, where I can draw on the full range of tools in service of your healing. I also work with a limited number of clients outside the Bay Area by telephone. For those, we typically begin with an initial Zoom meeting so we can “meet” each other face-to-face. Most clients choose to meet weekly or every other week, as mutually determined during our first session.
