This package is designed to provide evidence-based support and practical strategies to help you navigate the uncertainty, upheaval, and complexities that accompany a breast cancer diagnosis. Whether you are at the beginning, middle, or nearing the end of your treatment journey, this program offers guidance rooted in proven practices to help you build resilience, improve well-being, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
Purpose
The coaching program integrates evidence-based practices such as mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and art therapy with personalized support. It is tailored to meet the unique physical, emotional, and mental health needs of individuals at all stages of breast cancer. This program aims to empower participants to effectively manage challenges, reduce stress, and foster a greater sense of control and well-being.
Program Structure
The program includes four, 60-minute one-on-one virtual sessions:
Assessment Session
This foundational session is based on cognitive-behavioral and strengths-based approaches. It focuses on understanding your unique circumstances, including your treatment plan, team, and support system. Together, we will identify challenges, strengths, and goals to create a roadmap tailored to your needs.Resource Building Session
Drawing on mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) and resilience training, this session equips you with practical tools and strategies to manage the physical and emotional demands of breast cancer. Whether it's establishing mindfulness practices, enhancing self-care routines, or connecting to support networks, you will leave with resources that promote well-being and reduce stress.Skill Building Session
Utilizing evidence-based art therapy, this hands-on session helps you explore creative expression as a tool for emotional regulation and stress management. Studies show that art therapy enhances self-awareness, reduces anxiety, and provides an effective outlet for processing emotions. You do not need to be an artist to benefit—this session is designed to empower you with new coping skills that you can apply in your daily life.Reflection/Moving Forward Strategy Session
Based on goal-setting and solution-focused practices, this session provides a space to reflect on your progress, celebrate improvements, and address any remaining challenges. Together, we will refine your strategies and create a forward-focused plan to ensure continued growth and success beyond the program.
Additional Support
Between sessions, you will have access to email guidance, feedback, and encouragement, starting after your first session and continuing through the conclusion of the program.
