Kathy Kates is an experienced, American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANC) board-certified bilingual Family Nurse Practitioner and pelvic floor therapist. She developed a grant-funded pelvic floor therapy program at a federally qualified health center to support women, men, and transgender patients dealing with pelvic and sexual pain. Kathy has lectured nationally on pelvic health and is a member of the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health (ISSWSH). She has studied myofascial release under John Barnes and completed visceral manipulation coursework through the Barral Institute. Additionally, Kathy attended the inaugural Herbert Benson MD course in Mind Body Medicine. She offers a unique perspective as both a medical provider and a patient who has personally experienced pelvic pain following breast cancer treatment.

You will receive expert guidance: This session is led by a trained pelvic health and sexual wellness expert. You will receive practical, informed support for symptoms such as dryness, pelvic floor tension, pain with intercourse, and other challenges that can affect your daily life and intimate relationships.

You will get a personalized care plan: Together, we will build a customized plan that may include restoring vaginal moisture, relaxing pelvic muscles, and improving sexual function. The focus is on supporting your comfort, confidence, and quality of life.

You may receive prescriptions, if needed: If appropriate, medication recommendations will be made and tailored to your specific needs. The goal is to ensure you have the tools that will best support your healing.

You will leave with clarity: By the end of the visit, you will have a clear, science-backed action plan designed to support your goals. You will leave feeling empowered to take the next steps in your healing journey.

This session is ideal for individuals navigating menopause, post-treatment side effects, post-partum changes, or any experience that has impacted pelvic or sexual wellness. Healing begins with feeling heard—this session is the first step.
