Block Center for Integrative Cancer Treatment
Founded in 1980, The Block Center for Integrative Cancer Treatment was the first center of its kind in North America. More than four decades later, our model of care continues to set the standard for a comprehensive, truly individualized approach to integrative cancer treatment in the U.S. Today, many cancer centers describe their care as “integrative.” Often, however, that means offering a handful of supportive therapies alongside conventional treatment. At the Block Center, integrative care is not an add-on—it is the foundation of everything we do. We combine the best of conventional oncology with scientifically supported complementary therapies to create a treatment plan tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Depending on the individual, this may include chronomodulated chemotherapy, immunotherapy, personalized nutrition, targeted lifestyle interventions, carefully selected supplements, off-label medications, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, IV nutrient therapies, and prescriptive exercise. Our goal is not simply to help patients get through treatment, but to optimize health, rebuild strength, and create the strongest possible foundation for life beyond cancer.

Offering
A Block Center E-Gift Card provides meaningful support for individuals seeking personalized integrative cancer care, helping offset the cost of select services that are not covered by insurance.
Founded in 1980 by internationally recognized integrative oncologist Dr. Keith Block and Penny Block, PhD, The Block Center for Integrative Cancer Treatment has spent decades helping individuals navigate cancer through a comprehensive, patient-centered approach that combines conventional oncology with evidence-informed complementary therapies.
E-Gift Cards may be applied toward eligible services, including Intravenous (IV) Natural Product Therapies and other integrative therapies and services recommended by The Block Center’s clinical team based on each patient’s unique needs, treatment history, and overall health status.
Intravenous (IV) Natural Product Therapies
At The Block Center, select IV therapies are utilized as part of a personalized integrative treatment approach. By delivering therapeutic compounds directly into the bloodstream, IV administration provides greater bioavailability than oral supplementation, allowing the body to absorb and utilize these agents more effectively. Many plant-derived compounds that have demonstrated therapeutic potential are poorly absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract or rapidly eliminated after ingestion. Intravenous administration helps overcome these limitations and supports more consistent delivery.
Unlike conventional single-target therapies that focus on one molecular pathway, many of the IV therapies utilized at The Block Center are pleiotropic, meaning they may influence multiple molecular targets and biological pathways simultaneously. This multi-targeted approach reflects The Block Center's philosophy of personalized cancer care, recognizing that every individual's cancer biology is unique. Molecular testing and clinical evaluation help inform recommendations tailored to each patient's specific needs.
In addition to their intended therapeutic applications, selected IV therapies may be used to:
• Support overall treatment plans through complementary mechanisms
• Replenish nutrients that may become depleted during treatment
• Support the body's natural detoxification processes
• Promote general wellness and recovery
The Block Center's licensed chemotherapy facility includes a specialized infusion preparation room designed for the sterile handling and administration of both conventional and natural IV therapies. All formulations are sourced from reputable compounding pharmacies with extensive expertise in producing high-quality injectable products, helping to ensure consistency, purity, and patient safety.
Although uncommon, infusion-related reactions can occur with any IV therapy. The Block Center's experienced clinical team is fully equipped to monitor patients throughout treatment and respond appropriately should any concerns arise.
Current IV infusion options include:
• Curcumin, $900.00
• Glutathione, $125.00
• Hydration, $125.00
• Quercetin, $385.00
• Resveratrol, $340.00
• Vitamin C, $225.00
Individual infusion recommendations are determined by The Block Center's clinical team based on each patient's health status, treatment plan, and goals. Infusion duration varies depending on the specific therapy administered.
Why Give a Block Center E-Gift Card?
Cancer patients often seek meaningful ways to support healing beyond traditional gifts. A Block Center E-Gift Card allows friends and family to contribute toward evidence-informed integrative services that support individualized care, recovery, and well-being. E-Gift Cards are available in multiple denominations and may be redeemed toward eligible out-of-pocket services offered by The Block Center. Current IV infusion offerings range from $125.00 to $900.00. You may purchase e-gift cards in multiple amounts. If you do not use the full amount of the e-gift card it will remain available to you. There is no expiration date, so you can take your time.
Important Considerations
Services available through The Block Center are individualized based on each person's diagnosis, treatment plan, medical history, and clinical needs. IV therapies should not be viewed as replacements for conventional medical care and should be used under the guidance of qualified healthcare professionals.
