Soothing Touch: Tapping Circles for Emotional Wellness in Cancer Patients is a supportive group designed to help individuals facing cancer navigate their emotional challenges through the practice of Clinical Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), commonly known as tapping. This circle provides a safe and nurturing environment where participants can connect with others who share similar experiences, share their feelings (within reason as we do want to keep this an emotionally safe space), and learn effective tapping techniques to reduce stress, anxiety, and emotional pain. Guided by a trained and certified facilitator, attendees will engage in gentle tapping exercises that promote relaxation and emotional release, fostering resilience and enhancing overall well-being during their cancer journey. The program aims to empower participants, helping them to cultivate inner peace and emotional balance as they navigate the complexities of their health journey.
We will meet on the 1st Wednesday of each month via Zoom at 11:00 AM East Coast Time for 1-hour.
Participant agreements:
1. Bring water or another beverage, tissues, and something to write with.
2. Keep it confidential and advice-free.
3. Keep yourself safe, which means we will be focusing on lower emotional intensity moments within the group (ie. frustration, irritating, bothersome, annoying). The big emotional stuff should be saved for individual sessions.
4. All participants are welcome. This is a judgment-free space.
5. Be present, video on, and distraction-free as much as possible.
6. Take responsibility for your own mental health and well-being. Always listen to what feels right for you.'.
You may participate in the tapping circles as many times as you would like to.
Space is limited to 8 participants.
If you are the only person who signs up, we will still meet and the session will be tailored to your needs.
